I've noticed that it doesn't matter what I'm doing or how much memory I've
got installed (128 meg), my PC always seems to hog over 50% of the memory
available! Do pocket PC's have the same problems?
It seems daft to me, a small handheld device should be compact and
efficient, two words that Windows doesn't know the meaning of!
A nice case in point, when installing Windows on a friend's PC I was bored
so I actually read some of the cack that pops up while you wait for the
install. It actually says that because more computers these days have huge
hard drives, Windows has grown to fill that space! Er.....excuse me? I've
just bought a 40 gig hard drive!
"That's ok, your new version of Windows Sillyenium will take up 38 gig's.
It's efficient usage of wasted space!"
Oh......well that's ok then! I'd hate to waste my hard drive space on
rubbish like personal stuff! Just so long as my desktop looks nice and every
keypress on my keyboard generates a 50 kb logfile!
Cynical?...........Me?............Noooooooo!
Richy.
